At Texas Coding Camp, we are providing an introduction to the world of programming at and a break from summer boredom for your kids. We aim to not only teach middle school students the fundamentals of modern programming languages but cultivate a deep interest in this essential discipline. During this camp, students will learn the building blocks and even develop their own games to take home and show their friends and family.

While the focus of this camp is learning Python, we want to peak students interests' for other science fields like Chemistry, Astronomy, and Engineering through the resources of the University of Texas. Ultimately, our goal is to foster curiosity for sciences among campers, and of course, create a fun summer experience!

Each day will consist of two parts, three hours of classroom instruction followed by three hours of interactive activities. These activities will vary by day, and will consist of events like:

- Chemistry demonstrations- Indoor rock climbing with professional instruction- Tour of the state-of-the-art Engineering Education & Research Center- Live demonstration of 3-D printing at Longhorn MakerStudios- Tour of the Blanton Museum of Art- Science-based arts and crafts- Tour of Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library- Daily physical activities at Gregory Gymnasium (Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming, etc.)

This coding camp is designed for students aged 11 to 14 years old. The two weeks of instruction and activities will be $500 per student, but there is a 10% discount if you sign up with a group of three or more campers!

We would love to talk to any parent or student interested in learning more about our upcoming sessions. Feel free to reach out on Facebook or through email at: texascodingcamp@gmail.com.
