Returning Parents, 

Coach Rock and I thank you for the opportunity to coach and develop your children during the 2025 AAU basketball season.

As I self reflect there are some changes that I am going to make for the High Intensity program. A coach once said "Players that learn the value of hard work, commitment, teamwork, and sacrifice are the ones that make their teams great." I truly believe this and though I do understand life happens, we will never see the beauty and magic of success without full commitment. So let's be all in for the 2026 AAU Season!

2026 Changes- The mission for High Intensity is to improve your child's skill set and knowledge. In order for this to happen your child needs to apply the skills that they are being taught. Practices will be intense, and we need 100% commitment for your child to be at ALL practices! 

* Our goal going forward is to instill your kids with skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to have to compete in these tournaments and how to play basketball in general.

* This year I will be investing in a sports AI Camera that can take game films and practices and select an individual where it will compile all that information for a single individual. (Highlights, etc..) This information will be beneficial in your child's growth and development with basketball. The camera I am looking at is available in March. I am hoping we can get it by then and use it for the Summer.

* Practices will be intense. Tournaments will be fun! 

* Rosters will be small. All kids will play.

*** I was fortunate the past 3 years to have all the time in the world to focus on just basketball and work a side job. However things have changed this year as I went back to the company I've worked for the past 10 years. I will be running all practices Mondays through Thursdays and Friday and Saturday tournament games. SUNDAY is the only day I am unable to commit to. Which is when tournament championships start. Coach Rock will be helping me out with this. 

Tryouts

* I don't cut kids trying to learn basketball. I see what we have in numbers and ages. If I can put together a team I will. If not I can recommend other AAU clubs.

**Also if you child has friends they want to play with, forward this information to them. Word of mouth helps out a lot. 

February 23rd and 24th we will have tryouts from 5:30pm - 8:30pm

March 14-15 - NTBA John Trussell Sr. Memorial Tip Off

April 10-12 - NTBA Ballin' at the Beach

April 24-26 - NTBA SC State Championship 

May 16-17 - NTBA Myrtle Beach May Madness

May 29-31 - NTBA Pre-Nationals Warm-up by the Sea

July 13-18 -NTBA National Championship (Grade Based)

July 23-26 - NTBA National Championship (Age Based)

June 14-17 14th Annual Fred Lynch Invitational (Middle School) Tournament @ Laney High School (developing situation, more details to come. Not an AAU event.

July 9-10 -Big Shots Live 1 Myrtle Beach

July 11-12 -Big Shots Live 2 Myrtle Beach

August 1-2 - Circuit of Champions Myrtle Beach

Cost: $500.00 will stay the same as last year. They may use the same uniforms as last year and we can add new gear or they can order new uniforms.

Uniforms take 3 weeks. We will wear black and white t shirts for the 1st tournament.
