Blue-Grey All-American Scouting Combine
WEATHER, RESCHEDULING, AND NO REFUND POLICY
The Blue Grey Scouting Combine is an outdoor and athletic event that may be affected by weather conditions or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of event organizers.
In the event of severe weather, unsafe field conditions, lightning, excessive heat, storms, or other conditions that make it unsafe or impractical to conduct the scheduled activities, the Blue Grey Scouting Combine reserves the right to delay, suspend, modify, or postpone any portion of the event.
Whenever reasonably possible, postponed activities will be moved to the following day. If the event cannot be completed the following day, the Blue Grey Scouting Combine may reschedule the affected activities or event for another date within 180 days of the originally scheduled event date.
ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE.
No refunds, credits, reimbursements, or chargebacks will be issued because of weather-related delays, postponements, schedule changes, venue changes, or rescheduling within the 180-day period.
By registering for or participating in the Blue Grey Scouting Combine, the participant, parent, or legal guardian acknowledges and accepts this policy and understands that registration fees secure participation in the event or its rescheduled date rather than guaranteeing that all activities will occur on the originally scheduled date and time.
The Blue Grey Scouting Combine will make reasonable efforts to communicate schedule changes and rescheduling information to registered participants using the contact information provided during registration.
PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION, AND MEDIA RELEASE
Classes of 2028, 2029, 2030 and 2031
1. PARTIES
1.1 "Organizer" means Blue Grey Events LLC. Sponsors, vendors, media partners, and recruiting services are separate from the Organizer and responsible for their own acts.
1.2 "Released Parties" means the Organizer and its owners, members, officers, employees, and contractors; all coaches, instructors, trainers, medical staff, volunteers, and staff for the Event; its sponsors and vendors; the Biloxi Public School District (understood to own and operate Biloxi High School) and its board and employees; and their insurers and assigns.
1.3 "Participant" is the minor athlete on the registration form, "Parent" is the parent or guardian who signs, and "I" means the Parent, for myself and the Participant. "Attachment A" means the health and emergency contact questions on the form. The "Event" is the Blue Grey Scouting Combine at Biloxi High School, Biloxi, Mississippi (the "Venue").
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1 Participants must be in the class of 2028, 2029, or 2030 and at least thirteen on the Event date. I confirm the registration information is true and complete.
3. THE EVENT
3.1 The Event is a football combine with timed testing, position drills, one-on-one competition, and evaluation. Planned contact level: [noncontact]. The organizer may change any activity for safety or weather.
3.2 No offer, scholarship, ranking, invitation, or recruiting result is promised, and college coaches may not attend. The Event is not sponsored by the NCAA or any college or athletic association unless stated in writing. Eligibility compliance is the family's responsibility.
4. RISKS
4.1 Football and athletic testing involve serious risks of injury, permanent disability, and death, including sprains, ligament tears, fractures, and dislocations; concussion, other brain injury, and neck and spinal cord injury, including paralysis; heat stroke, dehydration, lightning, and severe weather; sudden cardiac arrest, exertional collapse (including with sickle cell trait), and worsening of any existing or undiagnosed condition; collisions with other players; playing surface and equipment conditions or failures; and limits on emergency response.
4.2 These risks exist even when everyone acts with reasonable care, and some may be caused or increased by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties, including negligence in planning the Event, supervising drills, monitoring for heat illness or concussion, weather decisions, equipment, maintaining the Venue, and first aid and emergency response.
5. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
5.1 The Participant takes part voluntarily. I have read Section 4 and discussed it with the Participant. For myself and the Participant, I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, known or unknown, including risks caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties.
6. RELEASE AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by Mississippi law, for myself I release each Released Party from all claims arising from the Participant's participation, including medical expenses, loss of services, and emotional distress, EVEN IF CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY.
6.2 To the fullest extent permitted by Mississippi law, and intending to bind the Participant and the Participant's heirs and assigns, on the Participant's behalf I give the same release, INCLUDING FOR THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY. I am the Participant's parent or legal guardian with authority to sign.
6.3 I will not sue, or permit anyone acting for me or the Participant to sue, a Released Party on a released claim.
6.4 This Section does not release claims for gross negligence, recklessness, or willful, wanton, or intentional misconduct, or claims the law does not permit to be released.
6.5 If a court decides a Parent cannot release the Participant's own claims, my release of my own claims, Section 5, and the rest of this document remain in effect.
7. EXPENSES AND LIMITED INDEMNITY
7.1 I am responsible for all medical, ambulance, and hospital charges for the Participant, and family health insurance pays first. The Organizer provides no health or accident insurance unless it states otherwise in writing.
7.2 To the fullest extent permitted by Mississippi law, I will indemnify the Released Parties for losses and reasonable attorney fees arising from (a) a claim by or for the Participant or a family member that is within Section 6 and is brought in breach of it, or (b) injury or damage caused by the Participant's willful or reckless conduct. This does not apply to gross negligence, recklessness, or willful, wanton, or intentional misconduct of a Released Party.
8. CONCUSSION
8.1 I have read the Head Injury and Heat Illness Notice (Attachment B) posted with the registration form and reviewed it with the Participant.
8.2 The Participant must report any head injury symptoms at once. Any participant who shows or reports signs of concussion is removed from all activity for the rest of the day, even if the participant says or appears to be normal, and may return later only with written clearance from a licensed health care provider.
9. HEAT AND WEATHER
9.1 I will make sure the Participant is rested, fed, and hydrated, and the Participant must report illness, dizziness, cramping, confusion, or unusual fatigue at once. The Organizer may modify, suspend, or cancel activities for heat, lightning, or other safety concerns in its sole discretion.
10. HEALTH
10.1 The Participant is in good health and was cleared for football within twelve months before the Event, except as disclosed in Attachment A, which is used only for safety and emergency response and is not published.
11. MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
11.1 If I cannot be reached promptly, I authorize the Organizer and its staff to call emergency services and arrange first aid. To the fullest extent permitted by law, including Mississippi Code Annotated Section 41-41-3, I authorize any licensed physician, hospital, or emergency medical service to examine, treat, and transport the Participant as the provider considers necessary.
11.2 If I cannot be reached, I designate the adult or adults named in Attachment A to give any consent the law permits a parent to give.
11.3 Onsite personnel provide basic first aid only. I authorize sharing Attachment A with emergency responders and treating providers.
12. MEDIA AND DATA RELEASE
12.1 The Organizer and its media partners may photograph, record, livestream, and broadcast the Participant at the Event. "Player Data" means name, class, school, position, height, weight, test results, evaluations, reported recruiting interest, and Event photographs and video.
12.2 The Organizer may use these, without payment, for rosters, results, and scouting reports; selecting players for its all star, bowl, and other programs; sharing with college coaches and recruiting media; and promoting the Event.
12.3 The Organizer handles Player Data under its own privacy policy, and third parties that receive it handle it under their own. The Organizer will not publish any phone number, email address, home address, or Attachment A information, and will share contact details with college coaches or send marketing email only if I say yes on the form.
12.4 I may ask the Organizer by email, at the address in Section 15.2, to remove content from sites it controls.
13. CONDUCT AND TRAVEL
13.1 The Participant will follow staff instructions and Venue rules, and alcohol, tobacco, vaping, drugs, weapons, fighting, and harassment are prohibited. The Organizer may remove any person for a violation or for safety, without refund.
13.2 The Organizer provides no transportation, lodging, or supervision outside scheduled activities and is not responsible for lost property.
14. GENERAL TERMS
14.1 Mississippi law governs. Suit must be brought in the Circuit Court of Harrison County, Mississippi, or the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, Southern Division, subject to any requirement that a settlement for a minor be approved by a court.
14.2 If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. This document binds me, the Participant, and our heirs and assigns, is the entire agreement about its subject, and may be signed electronically. The Released Parties are intended beneficiaries.
15. OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW AND PROPOSE CHANGES
15.1 This document was made available to me before the Event. I had the opportunity to read it, consult an attorney, and ask questions, and I understand each Section.
15.2 I may ask the Organizer to change any term by writing to [info@recruitrunner.com] before I sign. The Organizer will consider each request in good faith. A change is effective only if in writing and signed by the Organizer. If it declines, I may decide not to sign, and the Participant will not take part. Participation is voluntary and is not a condition of any scholarship or recruiting benefit.
16. ELECTRONIC ACCEPTANCE
I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT. I UNDERSTAND THAT IT RELEASES THE RELEASED PARTIES' ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE AND CONTAINS AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AN AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE, A LIMITED INDEMNITY, AND A MEDIA RELEASE. I SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY, FOR MYSELF AND THE PARTICIPANT.
16.1 By typing my full legal name and checking the acceptance box, I sign electronically with the effect of a handwritten signature. The Participant confirms assent through the separate box on the form.
