Code of conduct: students must be able to listen and follow instruction, show respect when it is not their turn to play, and sit/stand during rehearsal in a relatively small amount of space for an hour at a time.  Please consider if this will be a good fit for your student before registering them.  To ensure a high quality experience for the group, disruptions by students will not be tolerated.  If a student is disruptive or unable to follow instructions during a rehearsal, they will receive a verbal reminder from the conductor.  If disruptions continue during that same class, the student's family will be notified via email.  After three notices of disruptive behavior, Fifth Symphony Music, LLC reserves the right to unenroll the student for the remainder of the program, and they will be encouraged to try again in a future year.  If the student is unenrolled at the discretion of Fifth Symphony Music, LLC, no refund will be issued.

 Attendance and Arrival Policy: regular attendance is strongly encouraged.  If a student has excessive absences, they may be at risk of not participating in the concert at the end of the program.  Please arrive on time.  Once stands and chairs are set up, it is difficult for students to reconfigure and make room for a tardy student.  If you know your student will be late, please email fifthsymphonymusic@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance so the conductor can have a space ready for your student.  No makeups or refunds will be provided for missed rehearsals.

Cancellation/Refund policy: cancellations 14 or more days prior to start of program will be issued a full refund minus a 10% processing fee.  Cancellations 1-14 days prior to start of program will be issued a 50% refund.  After start of program no refunds will be issued except for in the case of a student's family moving out of the school area.  In the case of classes cancelled due to school closures, Fifth Symphony Music, LLC will make every best effort to reschedule a make-up class, however if it is not possible to schedule due to school space use constraints, no refunds will be given.

Materials policy: Instruments, music, and music stands are not provided.  Students need to bring their own instrument, music and folding music stand to each class. Instruments will be kept in the student's classroom as there is no place to store instruments in the music room.  Please consider your student's ability to carry, keep track of and transport their instrument as they will be solely responsible for it.  Fifth Symphony Music, LLC will not be held responsible for damaged or lost instruments.  In order to avoid injury, families are responsible for ensuring their student is using the correct size instrument.  If the instructor sees that a student is using an ill fitting instrument, they will notify the family via email and a correctly sized instrument must be provided before the student can continue participating.  No refunds will be given for classes missed due to a student having an incorrectly sized instrument.
