Spring time is fun time at Noah's Ark on Wheels Farm! Our 10 acre farm is the setting for
the experience of a lifetime. Children 6-13 have been learning about the animals at our specialty camp for 28 years, (teens 14 and up can apply as volunteer helpers). This is our personal private farm, so it lacks to commercialism of many camps. We are children oriented and have raised a few dozen ourselves! Our farm is open by appointment for tours and schools field trips during the school year. (Not during camp.) We also bring our animals to events off the farm. We maintain a no kill farm sanctuary here for the rescued animals. Our Sanctuary is a non -profit as well.
But in the Spring and Summer.....it's FARM CAMP TIME! We open it to children every summer to make memories to last a lifetime!
Farm camp runs April---July. and there are several weeks from which to choose.
Sign up for just one, or several weeks. Children stay for half a day, four hours a day, four straight days. Everyday we learn what makes a specific animal or animal group unique to the farm.
On Sheep day, we may clip some wool, On Pony day, Thursdays, we all get rides and groom the ponies, donkeys.
On chickens and ducks day, we might go feather hunting!
Games and hands on animal husbandry, farm chores, are all part of the hot and sweaty day! 😂 YET, Children never want to leave!
Your camp hostess is the Founder of Noah's Ark on Wheels and Noah's Ark Farm, a Forever Sanctuary for unwanted farm animals and a traveling petting farm to educate children in schools and all over Tampa Bay. Farmer ROU is an educator and a former home schooler for 15 years, and parent to 7 children. She was a previous medical foster parent for 16 years. Together with her husband Cesar they continue the legacy of Noah's Ark started 30 years ago!
All helpers and family members on farm have been FBI background checked.
The farm is insured, as is our mobile petting zoo. We are happy to be in our 28th season of farm camp with many satisfied parents and children year after year!
PLEASE NOTE:
Only 25 children max per week accepted, so reserve early.
times: 9:30am-1:30pm Mon-Thur (not Friday!)
(These are FOUR DAY CAMPS, NOT FIVE DAY CAMPS.)
What to bring: lunch, water bottle, change of clothes, bathing suit, towel, flip flops, bug spray, sunscreen, and wear grubby clothes!
